The Lake - Transcript
You’re rowing a boat across a sparkling lake, the sound of gentle waves splashes against the oars; your arms move forward and back at regular intervals, as the sound of the oars breaking the water creates a rhythm all its own.
You feel your breath, constant and steady, your back and legs. You’re nearing a calm beach at sunset.
Let a feeling of calm filter through you as you see, hear and feel yourself there.
Breathing purposefully, say to yourself, I deserve calm now.
You see a beach umbrella, and a beach chair under it. Your favorite drink, cool and refreshing, is waiting for you.
You leave the boat, walk across warm sand to the umbrella and sit in the beach chair.
You pick up the drink and taste it, taking a long, refreshing sip. You close your eyes and feel yourself drifting away, past all of your thoughts, to a calm place.
